Courtney Worcester is a Partner at Holland & Knight LLP in its Boston office. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation involving corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), venture capital and private equity firms, and financial institutions and their directors and officers. Courtney regularly counsels boards, individual directors, and officers on a wide variety of corporate governance matters, including books and records demands, removal or election of directors, board committee investigations, and reports. In addition, she represents clients in federal securities and shareholder litigation matters, including federal securities and consumer class actions, stockholder derivative litigations, as well as in disputes between co-founders. She is also experienced in diverse commercial litigation matters, ranging from contractual disputes to the protection of trade secrets, unfair competition, and other business torts.


She is the recipient of the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Top Women of Law award (2021) and a graduate of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Leadership Program (2022). She is active in her community, serving on the board of her children’s parent-teacher organization as well as on the board of the Massachusetts Chapter of Gift of Adoption.


Courtney began her involvement in NAWL in 1999 when she received its Outstanding Law Student Award. Since then, she has served on a variety of committees including the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the Membership Growth & Engagement Committee, the host committees for the Mid-Year Meeting and Annual Meeting, as well as serving as the co-executive editor of the Women Lawyers Journal. She is also a recipient of NAWL’s “Virginia S. Muller Outstanding Member” Award (2022). Courtney resides north of Boston with her two children.
