Security at NAWL's 2026 Annual Meeting

Before the Event

Due to event security requirements, all registrations must be completed by Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and no changes or substitutions can be made after this date.

When registering, you'll find a field where we ask that you enter your full legal name exactly as it appears on your government‑issued identification (driver's license, passport, etc.).


This field is required for a security screening. Complete this field accurately to help ensure we can confirm your identity smoothly and quickly onsite.

During the Event

You'll notice increased security measures on-site. As part of these security measures,


  • At check-in on Thursday, July 23, we will be checking your government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) to confirm it matches your name entered in the special field (referenced in the section above) during registration. Email nawl@nawl.org if you need to adjust the name on your registration.


  • Once checked in, a provided wristband must be worn at all times on Thursday, July 23.


  • Before entering the ballroom for the lunch session, all attendees are subject to security screening, including by search and metal detector, as a condition of entry.


  • Bags will not be permitted in the Grand Ballroom during the lunch session. All bags will need to be checked at the bag check in the Hilton Chicago's Lower Lobby.
