Caren Ries is Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Champion Homes and its affiliates. She joined the Champion family in 2018 as Associate Counsel and Litigation Manager. She believes that in-house lawyers are professional problem solvers and strives to find practical solutions to commercial issues. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the Wayne State University School of Law in Detroit, Michigan, her alma mater, where she introduces law students to the role of in-house counsel.  Prior to joining Champion, she was a career litigator in private practice with law firms in the Detroit area, with practice areas focused on real property, family law, and medical malpractice and product liability defense. Currently, she is enrolled in a graduate M.B.A. program at Wayne State University’s Ilitch School of Business.
