Hon. Maura Slattery Boyle has served as a Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County for over 25 years. Judge Slattery Boyle is currently the Presiding Judge of the Asbestos Docket in Cook County. Judge Slattery Boyle has presided over criminal and civil cases in various divisions. Judge Slattery Boyle has presided over 200 civil and felony criminal jury trials. In addition, Judge Slattery Boyle has presided over 1000s of bench trial, motions and hearings. Prior to joining the bench, she was an Assistant State’s Attorney and held the position of Deputy Supervisor of the Domestic Violence Unit.


Judge Slattery Boyle is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, Chicago Bar Association, and the International Association of Women Judges. Judge Slattery Boyle is an Adjunct Professor at Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago Kent Law School.



Judge Slattery Boyle received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from John Carroll University and a law degree from University of Illinois at Chicago Law School.
