Sunita Bali represents technology companies and other clients in a wide range of litigation matters and has secured significant victories in cases presenting complex and novel legal issues. She is particularly experienced in defending large, high-stakes privacy and consumer class-action cases, including litigation asserting claims under the federal Wiretap Act, federal Stored Communications Act, Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, and California Unfair Competition Law. In addition to her litigation practice, Sunita regularly counsels clients on compliance with privacy and consumer protection laws, particularly laws that regulate the collection and use of biometric and other sensitive data.


Sunita also has well over a decade of experience defending clients in litigation involving consent moderation issues, including cases implicating Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and the First Amendment.


In addition to her practice, Sunita has a strong and active commitment to diversity and inclusion, both within Perkins Coie and in the broader legal community. She sits on Perkins Coie’s Firmwide Strategic Diversity Committee and has served in various leadership roles related to hiring, recruiting, and mentoring.
