Amy Kemp
Subconscious Thought Habit Coach — Because You Can't Outwork Your Thought Habits
To learn more about offerings, structure, pricing, and other details:
Amy Kemp works with women who've been told they're too much—too direct, too ambitious, too intense. Her work starts from a simple premise: they're not.
Many of her clients are attorneys. When she meets them, they tend to be hyper-functioning, brilliant, walled up, and fiercely independent—having built entire careers on being the one everyone can count on. Through their work together, their firms grow. So do their lives outside of them.
As founder and CEO of Amy Kemp, Inc. and a certified Habit Finder coach, Amy guides high-achieving women through the subconscious thought habits that unknowingly cap their income, their leadership, and their lives. More than 400 women have gone through her four-month small-group coaching engagements, with hundreds more in one-on-one work—including a growing roster of women lawyers and firm owners through The Table, her year-long immersive coaching experience built specifically for female law firm owners.
Her methodology also drives two annual in-person experiences—a retreat called Pause, built for deep work, and a trip called Refresh with twenty women, built for connection and play—plus a library of self-guided courses on topics like money and boundaries. Her first book, I See You: A Guide for Women to Make More, Have More, and Be More—Without More Work, distills it all into one line: you can't outwork your thought habits.
Amy lives what she teaches. She's built a business that lets her be fully herself in every room, professional and personal, without shrinking in either.
What coaching services do you provide?
- 1:1 Coaching
- Group Coaching (groups of 8-10 women in fall and spring "semesters")
- The Table: A Year-Long Immersive Experience for Female Law Firm Owners
What services do you provide in addition to coaching?
I lead two in-person experiences each year. Refresh is a long-weekend trip to a city in the United States with 20 professional women, created to foster guilt-free play and connection. The other is a long-weekend coaching retreat that I host in a different location each year that offers in-depth group and individual coaching.
What is your coaching philosophy?
I am committed to the longer path, the deeper thought, the slower, more steady growth, and the more authentic personal connection, especially as the world tells me to go faster and to produce more with less depth.
Similarly, the coaching work I do creates slow and incremental change, but it’s real. I’m not at all interested in a quick-fix or big promises for my clients. They are too precious to me. I want sustainable life change that creates more income and a better quality of life, not one at the cost of the other.
What interests or excites you about coaching women lawyers?
I already work with many female attorneys through The Table, and they are some of my favorite clients. When I meet them, they tend to be hyper-functioning, brilliant, walled up, and fiercely independent. Through our work, their firms grow and flourish, but even better, so do their personal lives and relationships.
Tell us about your training and certifications as a coach.
I worked through a two-year certification process to use the Habit Finder assessment and curriculum that guides my coaching. I have a deep understanding of the math and science behind the assessment and also how to use this incredible tool to serve my clients. It measures subconscious habits of thinking, and it stands out as a very unique tool in a marketplace filled with assessments about personalities and strengths. We are largely unaware of our subconscious thoughts, and awareness and shifts can create significant business growth and sustainable life change.
