When asked to reflect on her proudest moments, Ellen V. Holloman wrote:

“I come from a long line of talented women who overcame significant adversity to succeed at the highest professional levels. Following their example, I have relentlessly advocated for diverse and inclusive working environments where everyone can thrive. My proudest moments have been supporting women colleagues’ and mentees’ rise to positions of authority at work—many of whom have given me the greatest compliment of all, hiring me to represent their institutions. Honoring NAWL’s mission means using our networks as pipelines for female talent to be the change we want in the world. As my mother says: Be bold!”
