When asked to reflect on her proudest moments, Julia E. Markley wrote:

“I started in the Portland office of Perkins Coie as a summer associate in 1997. I’ve been honored to advocate for clients to resolve their business and intellectual property disputes. I’m proud of co-founding two affinity bars, the Oregon Filipino American Lawyers Association (2017) and the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association (2009). Even though I am now a senior lawyer, there are always days where I feel like a fish out of water. The support of people within these bars is especially meaningful to me.”
