When asked to reflect on her proudest moments, Lourdes Rivera wrote:

“It has been an honor to serve as president for Pregnancy Justice since 2023, bringing more than 30 years of experience in reproductive rights and justice, health law and policy, and philanthropy. As an advocate, I created and directed a program addressing reproductive health for low-income women at the National Health Law Program and co-founded California Latinas for Reproductive Justice. As an ABA member, I worked on ABA policies, including one adopted in 2025 addressing pregnancy criminalization. Additional proud moments include seeding and expanding the reproductive justice movement in the U.S. as a Senior Program Officer at the Ford Foundation.”
