“I am so honored to receive the NAWL Outstanding Law Student Award. My two brilliant mothers showed me the importance of advocating for women and queer individuals in society, and I am proud to take those lessons with me into the legal field. Women’s liberation is inseparable from that of other minoritized groups, and I cannot wait to start my legal career as a Zubrow Fellow with Juvenile Law Center, working to achieve the abolition of youth incarceration.”
