“I am so honored to have been nominated and selected for the NAWL Outstanding Law Student Award. Willamette University's motto, ‘Non nobis solum nati sumus’ or ‘Not unto ourselves alone are we born’ is an ideal I have endeavored to uphold throughout my life. There are countless strong, wise, compassionate, and intelligent women who have supported me on this journey, and I would not have succeeded without their help and example. While in law school I had the privilege of externing in Tanzania for a legal women's rights organization, and serving clients in the Immigration Law Clinic at Willamette. I am excited to begin a career in Immigration Law this September working at Afghan Support Network after taking the bar exam in July.”
