Receiving the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award is deeply meaningful to me because it represents the possibility of pursuing ambitious goals while still showing up fully as a mother, military leader, and advocate. As a woman, mom, and service member, this award reminds me that it is okay to prioritize my dreams and professional aspirations while continuing to lead and care for those who depend on me. After graduation, I plan to clerk at a criminal defense firm where I can further explore my passion for constitutional law and trial advocacy, while also commissioning to serve as a JAG officer in the Air National Guard.”
