“My graduating class had a number of exceptional women, so being chosen as the recipient is a tremendous honor. I had my family and career before embarking on my law school journey, so I was an unconventional student. When I started law school, I would have been grateful just to get through it, so being recognized for achievements I never thought possible is a testament that an education and career in law is never unattainable. My post-graduation plan is to remain in the public sector and focus my career on public service.”
– Patricia Barnett, on receiving the 2026 NAWL Outstanding Law Student Award for Touro Law Center.
