Kelly Belnick is a Senior Global Regulatory Counsel with Johnson & Johnson MedTech and Board Attorney for the Global Health Equity Team. Kelly is responsible for providing strategic regulatory and compliance guidance throughout the product life cycle, including clinical research, regulatory submissions, advertising and promotion and compliance, as well as compliance with fraud and abuse laws.
With over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device law, Kelly has played key roles in complex litigation and has been instrumental in shaping legal frameworks that prioritize equitable access to treatment. Kelly is also a published thought leader on healthcare litigation and data privacy, known for her innovative approaches to navigating global regulations and advancing patient care.
Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Kelly worked as Senior Legal Counsel at ViiV Healthcare, where she counseled business and cross-functional partners on a range of commercial and regulatory issues across U.S. and global markets. She played a pivotal role in providing strategic legal support for enterprise sponsorships, grants, and donations. She also served as a key advisor on access to medicines and collaborative research initiatives, working with organizations such as the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP), PEPFAR, UNITAID, and PENTA. Prior to ViiV Healthcare, Kelly was an associate with Tanenbaum Keale LLP and Sedgwick LLP focusing her practice on medical device and pharmaceutical litigation.
Kelly obtained her JD with honors from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University with a Certificate in Environmental Law, her Masters of Science from Fordham University, and her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
